Course: Aerospace Physiology and Medicine

If you choose this field of study, you’ll explore how the human body functions in space, in aircraft, and in spacecraft during flight. You’ll study how zero or low gravity conditions affect the way our sense organs, muscles, and nerves work together, and how the body responds to these conditions. Topics of study include anatomy, muscle contraction, breathing and blood flow, fatigue and exhaustion, and muscle and body training. You’ll also explore how our bodies use food as fuel and the effects of disease and injury on how the body works.
