Course: Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

If you choose this field of study, you’ll prepare to use math and science to design, engineer, and evaluate systems based in both chemistry and biology, often at the molecular level. For example, you might learn to make or modify proteins, cells, and tissues for medical and other uses, or to use genes to treat or prevent diseases. Along with organic chemistry and biochemistry, you’ll study chemical engineering, thermodynamics, momentum and heat transfer, cellular and molecular biotechnology, and chemical reactor design.
