Course: Clinical Nurse Leader

This program prepares registered nurses to work as clinical nurse leaders. A clinical nurse leader works with a team of health care professionals to coordinate the medical care of a group of patients. For example, the CNL makes sure that different treatments given to a patient don’t conflict with each other; looks into the latest medical research to make decisions about treatment; and may also provide direct patient care. Topics of study include how medications work, the effects of disease on the body, how diseases spread and how they’re controlled, research in nursing methods, advanced health assessment, clinical practice management, and statistics.
