Course: Industrial Maintenance Technology
The Coca-Cola Company is the biggest nonalcoholic beverage manufacturer in the world, producing nearly four hundred beverage brands in more than two hundred countries. But their success couldn’t have happened without the latest in bottling technology -- and the people to make sure those machines are operating properly every step of the way.
If you can picture yourself working on big machines like these, a major in industrial maintenance technology may be for you. You’ll learn how to repair pumps, motors, engines, conveyor belts, and more, and how to keep them in good working order.
Students of industrial maintenance technology learn how to repair and maintain the machines used in manufacturing.

Course Spotlight
If you’ve ever seen a car engine overheat or a tire blow, you’ve witnessed the power of gasses and liquids. Hydraulics and pneumatics refer to machines that put this power to work. Since most industrial machines fall into this category, you can expect to take at least one course on the subject.
You’ll probably be tested on your ability to describe the function and construction of pumps, valves, cylinders, and other machine parts. You’ll also do plenty of hands-on work, such as using flow meters and pressure gauges to measure valves and make adjustments. Your final may involve a troubleshooting project.
