Course: Naturopathic Medicine

Students in these programs learn what they need to know in order to practice naturopathic medicine independently. Naturopathy, as it is also called, is a holistic approach to treating patients that does not rely on conventional medications or surgery and other invasive procedures. The emphasis is on prevention, wellness, and self-healing. As a student, you’ll learn medical basics and explore public health subjects. You’ll also take courses in such areas as botanical medicine, homeopathy, manipulative therapy, ayurveda, nutrition, patient counseling, and ethics.
