Course: Radiologist Assistant

If you choose this field of study, you’ll prepare to work under the supervision of a doctor to examine patients using x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other imaging technologies. You’ll learn to assess patients’ health and guide them through radiology procedures. You’ll also learn to perform some of these procedures, and to read the images produced -- although a physician will have to make the final interpretation. In addition to radiology, you’ll study cross-sectional anatomy; how medications work; patient assessment, care, and management; and the biological effects of radiation on cells and tissues.
